My brother in-law got me a bunch of these glass beads from Dubai. They are hand-painted and the colours are very rich and deep.
In this pair, I don't know if you can see it, but there're some pink and black painted onto the red. I've complemented these colours by using pink fibre optic beads and 3mm black Swarovski crystal.
