This one is named after my 8-year old mongrel, Gypsy. Gypsy is a beautiful girl but extremely timid and wary of people because she was abused as a puppy. She was also born with a genetic defect - her leg muscles do not grow with the bone so she has slightly deformed legs. She was recently diagnosed with arthritis. She can't run and jump around like other dogs and it's painful to see her struggling to get up even though she's so eager to greet me. Glucosamine seems to help though and she's more limber now. I have a very soft spot for mongrels and I admire all those who put in so much effort to help these lovely but misunderstood dogs.
